7 Natural homemade beauty masks

Sometimes our face gets tired of putting on various cosmetics every day, so it’s a real refreshment to treat it with some completely natural, fresh ingredients! These masks fit every skin type and can be used weekly.

1. Cinnamon and Olive oil

Mix ½ tsp of cinnamon powder with 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil. Apply, leave for 10 minutes and wipe with a clean, damp cloth.

Benefits: Cinnamon has anti-fungal, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties, which helps fight premature aging. Extra-virgin olive oil is rich in antioxidants and vitamins. It prevents loss of moisture and enables the skin to maintain its natural vitality. This mask is especially good if you have dry skin.

2. Kiwi and Honey

Mix one peeled kiwi with one 1 tbsp of honey. Apply, leave for 20 minutes, wash it off.

Benefits: Kiwi is full of Vitamin C, which is excellent for skin regeneration. Honey is natural humectant and draws moisture into the skin.

3. Egg white and Yogurt

Mix 2 egg whites with 2 tbsp of plain yogurt. Apply, leave it on for a few minutes, then rinse it off in warm water.

Benefits: Egg white tightens pores, helps to firm and lift the skin. Yogurt moisturizes skin and reduces wrinkles.

4. Avocado and Banana

Mash ½ an avocado in a bowl, then add ½ very ripe banana and mix it in.  Add ½ tsp olive oil or ½ tsp Shea Butter. Apply, leave for 15 minutes and wash off.

Benefits: Chlorophyll in avocado reduces inflammation, vitamin E prevents wrinkles, potassium help your skin maintain its beautiful glow. Vitamin B in banana moisturizes and lightens skin.

5. Carrot and Honey

Cook 2 carrots and mash them until smooth. Add 2 tbsp of honey. Apply to face, leave on for 10 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

Benefits: Beta-carotene in carrots reduces skin inflammation, vitamin C has healing properties and antioxidants slow down the skin’s aging process.

6. Cucumber

Peel a large cucumber and blend it in a blender or food processor. Apply, leave for 15 minutes and remove with lukewarm water.

Benefits: Cucumber is a natural moisturizer. Vitamin C and caffeic acid  reduce inflamed skin, and reduce swelling. Perfect for sensitive skin!

7. Milk, Lemon and Turmeric

Mix 1 tbsp of milk, a pinch of turmeric powder and ½ tsp lemon juice. Apply and let it sit for 15 minutes. Rinse off with cold water.

Benefits: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory properties and helps fight acne, rosacea and eczema. Milk will gently exfoliate and nourish skin cells. Lemon juice contains vitamin C and citric acid, that may help reduce skin damage and even your skin tone. This mask works wonders on oily skin.
